first_imgAir Berlin has announced that it will launch a new daily flight between Dusseldorf and St Petersburg as part of its 2009 summer schedule.The cheap flights carrier has also said it will re-introduce its Berlin-Tegel to St Petersburg service once the new timetable commences on May 1st next year.Commenting on a further route to Moscow, a statement from Air Berlin said: “In addition to the daily morning flight, Air Berlin passengers will have the option in summer 2009 of an evening flight from Berlin-Tegel to Moscow six times a week (every day except Saturday).”The statement added that services between Dusseldorf and Moscow, and Munich and Moscow would also have an additional flight, on Saturdays and Sundays respectively.The airline’s summer schedule runs until October 31st, with the cheapest tickets now available on the company’s website.Earlier this month, Air Berlin clinched the ‘World’s Leading Budget Airline’ prize at the World Travel Awards for the second year in succession.
