However, the report concludes that while there was evidence of good practice, overall, the three areas assessed were unclean.In Surgical 1, the workstation was clutter free, but there was a sticky residue on its surface and dust was found on furniture, beds and equipment.In Maternity, the workstation was cluttered and dust, and dust was also seen on the surfaces of hand-gel dispensers, as well as on bed frames and bedrails.In the Emergeny Department, three wheelchairs were obstructing fire fighting equipment, and dust was also an issue.The hospital must now draw up a quality improvement plan to ensure it meets the standards, and will be inspected again later in the year.
