first_img RELATED ARTICLESMORE FROM AUTHOR A 34 year old County Derry man man has pleaded guilty to the manslaughter of his mother at their home in Portstewart.In June 2014, 69 year old retired hairdresser Margo Evans was found dead at the house she shared with her son at Knockancor Drive .Alun Kinney Evans had previously denied a charge of murdering his mother, but yesterday at Amtrim Crown Court, he admitted her manslaughter on the grounds of diminished responsibility.He was remanded in custody and is due to be sentenced on 9 June. Liam Adams denies confessing in Donegal to abusing his daughter

first_imgNews LUH still not ready to restore IT systems Google+ Belfast Crown Court has heard that the Sinn Fein President Gerry Adams never confronted his brother Liam about child sex abuse allegations involving his daughter.During interviews given under caution to the PSNI in February 2007, LiamAdams rejected claims that the Sinn Fein president had quizzed him about the alleged abuse of his daughter during a meeting in Co Donegal 20 years earlier.The 57-year-old from Bearnagh Drive in west Belfast also emphatically denied to police that he had confessed to the alleged abuse during a walk in Dundalk in Co Louth with his older sibling in 2000.Liam Adams is accused of 10 counts of child sex abuse against his daughter Aine, now aged 40.He has denied all the charges against him.
